build the kickass business you've always wanted to run.
my story starts in a muddy festival field...
In my early 20's. I got my first taste of what it was to be self-employed. Somehow, I'd managed to get a gig helping out on Artist Liasion at a festival. I was hooked. I was a freelancer.
Yes, I had people to answer to, but the fire was real. Following the job, I typed out my invoice on a Word Document accompanied by a quick make-shift logo I'd made on a little known programme called 'Canva' and sent it off. Wildflower Events was my first attempt at working for myself. And over 15 years later, it's certainly not been my last.
To be self-employed is to experience freedom like no other. But man is it hard.
That's why I've made it my mission to help as many women as possible build the business(es) of their dreams, keep the fire alive, throw out the rule book and do it their way. Shall we get started my love?
Field Notes is my fortnightly nudge for women building a business their own way.
Inside: what's actually working, what's flopping, and the stuff I wish someone had told me five years ago - plus the odd reminder that you're not doing it wrong, it's just genuinely hard. No polished highlight reel, no "10k months in your sleep." Just honest notes from a few steps up the path, and a dog walk or two along the way.
